This is the first time after 2 children that I'm using a diaper pail, so you may be wondering why get one with the last one? the smell, even taking the trash out every day it was not enough for my sensitive nose. First week with baby and I believe all I have done is change diaper after diaper.
I wanted a pail that didn't required any special bags and locked the smell, plastic trash cans don't lock smells that well.
Although we have an aluminum trash can for the kitchen that locks the smell pretty well, I wanted a pail to go on the room where baby will be most of the time, that being my bedroom for around 6 months and after that she will be sharing a room with her sister.
I went with the cloud design is pretty and gender neutral, I was amazed by how easy it was to clean it inside and even outside, I do disinfect it each week with disinfecting wipes, I take the trash out every 3-4 days or when is full (right now with newborn and size 1 diapers it doesn't need to be empty that often so I usually take it out for trash days on Wednesdays, I like the Glad bags with lavender scent they lock the smell much better and last for at least 5 days, a box will last me around 2 months which to me is pretty good, usually you can get those with a coupon found online too.
Removing and changing the bag is really easy, the only time you get the horrible smell is when removing and changing it but that is it, there are different ways I have seen people putting bags on it but this is the way that's being working for me. I tide the strings on the the back so it is more secure.
This is not an sponsored post, this is from my experience with it.
Hope it helped you,
Angela
